Translation Examples follow for your edification:
John 5:39
"Search in the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me" (King James version)
"ἐρευνᾶτε τὰς γραφάς ὅτι ὑμεῖς δοκεῖτε ἐν αὐταῖς ζωὴν αἰώνιον ἔχειν· καὶ ἐκεῖναί εἰσιν αἱ μαρτυροῦσαι περὶ ἐμοῦ·" (Greek version 1550)
"Ereunate tas graphe; hoti humeis dokeite en autais zoen aionion echein: kai ekeinai eisin hai martyrousai peri emou" (Phonetic Greek version)

This is a good example of translation and how they tried to fit the verse into the other language by keeping the meaning and the words. However, some translations have been changing the meaning, and also cut-out words and complete verses, such as:
Revelation 22:14

So you can see the meaning are completely changed and have no resemblance to the original word of Adonai.
In many countries, there is a false understanding that has spread too. Many people think that they only need to have and understand the New Testament. This can not be further from the truth according to Yeshuah/Jesus!

Matthew 5:17-20
17 ¶ Thinke not that I am come to destroy the lawe or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.18 For verily I say vnto you, Till heauen and earth passe, one iote or one title, shall in no wise passe from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoeuer therfore shall breake one of these least commaundements, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdome of heauen: but whosoeuer shall doe, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdome of heauen.

Wow. He said that no part of the word or law changes until there is no more Heaven or Earth. That means you must follow the old and new Testament. There is no other way.
So that means you are responsible to know what Bible you are using.
