GOD STRENGTHENS ME
(2 Samuel 22: 2; Philippians 4:13)
Introduction
A. These passages teach us two things:
* That God will always strengthen us.
* That Jehovah and Christ are one in purpose.
B. But in what way does it strengthen us?
1. It strengthens us when we give our effort
A. This seems paradoxical, but if we give our strength to God, then he will strengthen us back (Matthew 25:20, 26-29).
B. By surrendering our strength to God, we do not throw it in a broken bag, but God multiplies it in many ways (Romans 8:28).
2. It strengthens us when we leave everything in your hands
A. We have to learn to really trust in God. This means surrendering to your feet in times of trouble (Matthew 14: 29-31).
B. Leaving the last decision to God will always bring blessings.
3. It strengthens us even at the last moment
A. When everything seems finished, God gives us one last push (Judges 16: 26-29).
B. He is our last breath, our last rest, our final salvation.
Conclusion
A. Would not you like to enjoy God's strength?
B. Surrender today at the feet of the Lord and give his obedience!
