This
Shabbat commemorates the 9th of Av, the day of the destruction of the two
temples, the termination of the reigns of Israel and Judah and the
beginning of the exile to Babylon.
Because it is Shabbat, all the mourning customs are postponed until
Sunday, since sadness is NOT allowed on the Sabbath, and mourning is not
allowed because it is a day of rest, joy, celebration and peace.
That is why this year Tisha BeAv is considered "לדחות / נדחה"(postponed / postponed), but in the form of Change.Reflecting
on the subject, I believe that the symbolism that the day of mourning
is postponed due to the celebration of Shabbat, at some point should NOT
be postponed, but "changed" as it is very important and hopeful. Postponing is NOT always correct; However, changing the date because you have to dedicate that time to the Lord's service is very comforting.
In some way the calendar is telling us: "This year Tisha BeAv must be
changed from pain and suffering and must be dissipated in order to give
place to the peace and harmony that Shabbat represents".
But one must be at peace with everyone to be on a day of rest. Matthew 5: 22-23; Hebrews 12:14Hopefully this idea will be reflected in reality; that
being in PEACE with all those around us, we are witnesses of the
prophecy "that the days of mourning will become holidays" when the
Mashiach finally arrives, bringing the final redemption. (Amos 4: 10-1)
