Many times we stop going to church because we do not see the answers
of our prayers, we see the success of others, we distrust the leaders or
pastors, we get cold because the Eternal does not answer us.
If you have ever felt this way ...
Introduction
i. There
will always be the possibility of facing a situation that depletes our
faith or that makes us change our way of thinking and makes us doubt the
Creator's purposes. (Because that's the enemy's job)
ii. In those precise moments we must remember the whole history of the
Messiah, from his birth, his suffering, his agony, his total surrender
and his love for each one of us.
iii. Otherwise, if we lack faith, then we will fall into great danger because we will feel exiled, enslaved, empty or abandoned. This is what happened to the people of Israel more than once.
1. The Word of the Lord is despised
i. Kings, leaders, prophets, priests rejected the word of God and all the
inhabitants of the kingdom allowed themselves to be guided without
anyone opposing, it was stronger than in the last years of freedom of Judah
(2 Chronicles 36:12, 14, 16).
ii. The
kings had such contempt for the word of the Almighty because they no
longer contemplated them, but told them their truths and they stopped
trusting in Him and in the true servants. They preferred the word of false prophets (Isaiah 30:10). They knew the Father but they did not fear him because their hearts had cooled and they were seeking their own pleasures.
2. It rejects the Eternal's plans
i. Beginning with the prophecies of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and even Jeremiah, the message has always been to trust Ha'Shem. Captivity is inevitable, but it can be lighter if we trust in The Almighty (Jeremiah 21: 1-10).
ii. Babylon was going to enslave Judah, but whoever surrendered voluntarily would save his life. But the kingdom of Judah did not want to submit. He did not understand the plans of the Father. They allied themselves with the Egyptians and were killed by the sword (2 Chronicles 36:13, 17-20). They did not want the Divine plan to develop as The Creator had already stipulated; but they listened better to the enemy than for many years before they were slaves to them (Ezekiel 17: 15-16).
3. Death is chosen before life
i. The choices that The Creator gave to Judah were difficult.* One of them was to surrender to the Chaldeans, serve them as slaves and save their lives.* The other was to oppose the Chaldeans, oppose God and die by the sword.
ii. The choice of the enemy (Egypt) was to unify the kingdom and send them to certain death.* But they chose death (2 Chronicles 36:17).
iii. Their lack of faith led them to death. They became obstinate (2 Chronicles 36:13). They closed their hearts to the Lord and surrendered to the hands of the enemy.
Conclusion
i. The lack of faith in the most difficult moments of our lives can lead
us to renege on the Creator, reject His word, get away from Him and obey
the enemy (because he can paint us very beautiful and seductive
illusions so we can end up believing them).
ii. Let
us pray to the Eternal Father from the depths of our hearts so that we do not
lack faith and wipe our ears so that it is only His voice that we hear
clearly.
