Please forgive us

Today is the most sacred day.  Where we are commanded to do no work.  It is a day to repent, and to forgive.  The Bible commands us to do this.

Leviticus 16:29 mandates establishment of this holy day on the 10th day of the 7th month as the day of atonement for sins. It calls it the Sabbath of Sabbaths and a day upon which one must afflict one's soul. Leviticus 23:27 decrees that Yom Kippur is a strict day of rest.

To afflict our soul, we fast.  To afflict our soul, we cry about what we have done.  We ask for forgiveness.

We ask everyone, including you that we have ever hurt, wronged, and our Father, his Son, and the Holy Spirit for forgiveness on this HOLIEST OF ALL DAYS.

We will not eat again until around 10 PM tonight, after the new day has started.  We will pray on our knees begging for forgiveness as we have forgiven others.  We have not eaten, and have drank very little since yesterday in our physical affliction.  We listen to the following song to afflict our souls.

The Power of Forgiveness

A Song of Pain and Repenting and Rising again on this day:

Oh our Father, please see our human weakness and frailty.  We are so imperfect, and we try to rest completely, but we fail, for we are so imperfect.  I cry to you and beg you to see us, and see all those who seek you and try to do your will.  Please forgive us for we have offended you in our humanness.

I cry to you Father, please forgive and have mercy.

Amen
